50th wedding Anniversary Flowers!

It’s always a privilege when friends ask me to do flowers for a special occasion. This time I was asked to make this floral arrangement for a 50th wedding anniversary, what a sweet blessing that was! I had the best time playing with these gorgeous flowers. Hope and pray they will enjoy them as they celebrate this couple’s 50 years of an amazing life together 🤗😊

Ready for Fall!

Getting ready for Fall!
As much as I love Summer's bright and fun colors I love a good Fall color palette too. I have been choosing flowers and designing bouquets for two upcoming projects this Fall.
I will be selling my bouquets at a new cafe in Bryant called 'Blue House Bakery and Cafe'  I'm so pumped about this blessing from the Lord! I have no idea how this is going to go and I'm still trying to work out the details and logistics of it but in the mean time I'm trusting the Lord as He is the One that opened this door for me and I praying I can be a blessing to those that enter this awesome place to enjoy some delicious food and why not... some pretty and fresh flowers too!!
Also, the sweetest and most precious ladies, Ruth and Betsy will allow me to come back to their bakery again on October to sell my bouquets. So all in all, it's starting to look like a fun and busy Fall season but Im thankful for it and can't wait to see what happens!

Flower crowns

One of my most favorite things to make is flower crowns... I'm still learning and I have been trying different techniques to see what works the best. Right here I used twigs or dry vines from a friend's yard to weave the crowns and then I glued the fresh flowers and foliage. I think they turned out great!! These beautiful girls wore them all night and they held up great!

Quinceñera and paper flowers

I have to say that I will always prefer to work with fresh flowers but sometimes budgets don't allow for it but I'm thankful for great and creative inexpensive ideas to make a special event look so dreamy even without fresh flowers.
I was asked by some dear friends to help them decorate the stage for their daughter's  Quincenera's ceremony. I started looking for options and started working on it.
With the help of some hard working and giving ladies we made several paper flowers in different shapes and sizes using tissue paper and scrapbook paper. I used some Eleagnus branches to add to the texture and color contrast.
At the end it was just so pretty and dreamy, the best of all was this sweet Quincenera's reaction when she came in and saw it... I will never get tired of those first reactions when they come and see what I have created, it's priceless!
And as I always say, I give my Lord all the credit for what He allows me to create because I can't do anything without His faithful provision to deliver a good product. Always humble and thankful to be a vessel of His love and gifts that He gives us!

Milk Glass

Carnations!

I think people have a bad concept of carnations as ugly and cheap but now days there are so many beautiful varieties and colors. This one here is one of my favorites!! Carnations last for a long time and they are very easy to work with... so they are always a must in my designs :)

Lissies

Who doesn't love a sweet pretty flower that lasts fresh for several days!! I do!!!
Lisianthus is that kind of flower and I love them... they have great movement and they last for several days in my arrangements.
I bought a bundle of flowers on a Monday, made the arrangement and 7 days later those lissies were still looking beautiful! I pulled them out, gave them a fresh cut and made a different arrangement, added  fresh blooms like snapdragons and hypericum berries (these other two types of flowers that last for days too) I was able to save about half of the lissies from the last one... after 4 days later they are still thriving and looking great.
I hear friends of mine saying all the time that flowers are a waste of money, I used to think that way too but I believe that when you get to learn the type of flowers that last a while and brighten your home for several days you will change your mind and feel it's all worth it when you invest in little details like fresh flowers to add to the charm of your home.
Love my Lissies!!

If Walls Could Talk

Love old buildings! They are fascinating and intriguing. I used to watch years ago a show from HGTV called ‘If Walls Could Talk’ where they would share stories from people that lived in old historical buildings, it was just fascinating to me 🤗 I found this old building in a corner of the downtown of Yellville, AR that grabbed my attention! The building is now being used as an antique store but it makes me wonder what it was originally built for. They were closed this weekend but I so wish I could have gone inside. I couldn’t pass this beauty so I went to the store, grabbed some flowers and had a little fun snapping a few pics of my little girl posing in front of this place. Will have to go back to check the inside out sometime in the near future.
