Melanie's Wedding

What a fun and busy weekend we had getting ready for this fun and beautiful wedding! We had been planning all the flower details for three months and to see it come to completion is such a blessing and relief. Love it when you get such sweet and encouraging feedback from the bride and friends. All in all it was a lovely wedding and I had the best helpers and support! I'm constantly in awe of The One True God I serve! He has guided my mind, heart and hands as I work on these events. I can not possibly do it on my own, its just too much and stressful but when I rely on Him and give it to Him, He comes through for me and helps me out so a huge and humble praise above all else to My Lord Jesus Christ for making me the person I am today!!

Mexico

Just a few pics from our super fun and colorful photo shoot in Mexico!! Love the way they turned out!!

This is Mexico!

While we were in Mexico I wanted to make a bouquet of fresh flowers and ask the people from the town to hold it while posing with it. I saw this idea from another floral designer and I was deeply inspired to try myself with my people while I was there.
They all kindly smiled and allowed me to take their pic with it. They were very surprised at first and asked why? it was unusual for them to have a random woman asking them to hold fresh flowers but to me it meant so much more than just taking a pic, a lump would form in my thought trying to hold back tears every time I asked a person. A mix of raw natural beauty, fresh and fragrant... these people are doing their everyday jobs, all they have is their skills, talents and things they are selling or using to do their job...no fancy office, house or car, yet, they smile big.
I have no idea what their lives look like, who their families are, where they live but all I see is a hard working person glad to do their job to earn a few 'pesos'. In all of us there should be that inner beauty, no make up, no fancy clothes just our bare souls shining through regardless of our circumstances. I see in these pictures poverty with dignity and Im so thankful they gave me the privilege to photograph them!

Mi gente, Mi Pueblo!!

Two random bouquets...
