This is My Hope

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
~Matthew 11:28-30

Do you know Jesus? I hope you do know Him. Jesus is the only way that can give us everlasting joy, peace and assurance, the ultimate sacrifice that can lead you to repentance, offer you forgiveness and hope in this fallen world. If you don’t know Him, It will be my pleasure to introduce you, because He has been waiting all along for you to open that door and let Him in.

Let me begin by telling you a small personal story. After losing my mom, I experienced firsthand intense and deep pain in my heart, that longing of wanting to see her, talk to her and give her a hug but I couldn’t anymore, at least not while I’m on this earth, in this world. Death became more real, death it’s so final! There is not going back or do over again, I thank God and I praise Him because my  mom knew Him and  she had a personal relationship with Him, the pain and the longing of wanting to see her again was temporary because I know one day we will be all together rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus. My mom taught me many things, but most importantly, she introduced me to God and how to walk in His path, she left a legacy for me and my children that will last an eternity. My season of grieving came to an end, God was faithful to provide comfort, healing, and restoration. There have been and there will be many more painful days in my walk with Him but all I can do is trust Him, meditate and see how can I do better, how can I bring honor to His name in the midst of these difficult situations, He didn’t promise to fix all my problems and make my life easier but He promised to love me, to be there for me and give me that peace that transcends all understanding, that assurance that He will sustain me until the day He returns and takes me home with Him.

I have made many mistakes in the past and because of my imperfection and human nature I’m sure there will be more mistakes, I know I will fall, I’m a human being, a sinner rescued by God with His unfailing love and grace, He offers me a fresh start every morning and with a repented and humble heart I call out to Him to keep me going and moving on.

While our hearts are beating and we are still breathing on this earth, we are given the opportunity to “do over again” or “start over again”, every morning you wake up and open your eyes, it’s an invitation from God to let Him in and be the Lord of your life….God’s word says in Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.” If you don’t know Him yet, DON’T WAIT!!! There might not be a “later” or “tomorrow”, don’t wait until is too late. I invite you to welcome Him and experience that assurance and peace that God can offer, and everlasting life with Him, let Him fill that void in your heart and your entire life. This world can only offer heartaches, temporary happiness, nothing that will fill you up, only God offers that true joy and He is willing and waiting to give it to you if you just ask and believe that He can do this for you.

There is an old hymn that says: “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus”, it all starts there with Him, with Jesus, accepting His sacrifice, believing that Jesus is the Son of God and He came to offer us a new life, free of guilt and regrets and accusations from the enemy.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

If you are ready to let Jesus in your heart you can follow these simple steps:

A-     -Admit that you are sinner
B-     -Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He can forgive you of your sins
C-     -Confess that Jesus is the Son of God

Pour out your heart to God, He already knows it, but He wants to hear from your mouth that you need Him and you want to repent from your sins and start a new life with Him.

If you have prayed to let Him in, then welcome to the family my friend! I encourage you to find a church and someone to talk about this, it’s very important that we find a church where we can gather, find encouragement, accountability and learn more about God and His word so you can pass it on to others and let them know what you just have experienced and the new life you found in Jesus Christ. The enemy will be ready to attack in many ways, through friends and family, old habits, but don’t give up, let God’s word and the Holy Spirit fill you up with wisdom and understanding so you can stand up straight to fight the battle and finish the race.

Thanks for stopping by and taking some time to read through this, I hope this will help you find what you are looking for, maybe your purpose in life which is to know Jesus, love Him and serve Him to our last breath.
Also, share it  with anyone you might think that needs to read this.
